TAROTSCOPES | APRIL 16 - APRIL 22
FOUR OF PENTACLES
If a message is coming up a second time, it hasn’t taken the time it needs to work through us. Give yourselves time, personally, collectively, uniquely. In numerology, fours traditionally represent security and balance bearing a sense of completeness. Disks, or pentacles, are forever spinning in motion, signifying spirit as the consistency of change over time. The Four of Pentacles symbolizes the structure we think we need to protect ourselves. The things we are conditioned or have conditioned ourselves to believe are vital to our existence. The tangible pieces to our puzzle that we might need a little extra help releasing our grip on. If you had to walk out of your home today and only take one single thing, what would it be? What are you trying so hard to protect that it’s provoked a disconnect in your system? Where have you built a wall to keep yourself safe and instead kept your world small? What is your relationship to the gate that is securing your seclusion?
Boundaries are a powerful principle, not to be dismissed, nor to be abused. Examine your boundaries and where you might broaden them. Practice opening your hand as if holding a little bird. Feel the warmth spread from palm to heart when it chooses to stay without the chain of your fingers trapping it. Likewise, note the heart jump with the falcon who takes flight, pleasure soaring at the notion of finding its freedom.
The sky this week sees some serious shifts, designed to give us a peek at powerful astrology coming our way mid-May. Take this time to contemplate where you can find security in that which liberates you, balance in the free fall, and safety in secrets not kept. Examine the ideas that perpetuate your stagnance in a stupor. Sit with your stubbornness. It’s okay to be right and to trust your truth. It’s also okay to find another right that isn’t wrong. When we’re especially stable the universe often shakes us up so we can shift our stance, shake it out and learn to shimmy to a new beat. As my mentor says “The universe wants the dopest shit for us.” The Four of Pentacles requires you to decide if you’re willing to let go of the thing that’s neglecting to let your freaky flag fly.
WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
