Hi, I’m Erin, also known as ET.
I design emergent approaches to life that increase access, promote serenity, and foster a culture of nurturance. I create and practice rituals to help myself and others live with more presence, integrity and pleasure amidst and in spite of collapse. I work with astrology, attachment theory, and intuition to help people be in better relationship to themselves, to other humans, to the land, and to time.
I believe that learning how to be in right relationship is a core principle of being human.
I believe that the more integrity we bring to our relationships, the better we feel. I believe that integrity and authenticity are on the same team. I believe we feel most loved by the world and others when we are being authentic, respectful and kind in our relationships. I believe that love is a product of listening deeply, opening to vulnerability and embracing needs fully. I don’t believe that being in loving relationship is easy all the time. Love requires nurturance: the ability to provide emotional and physical care. Much of my work is about building capacity for nurturance, and cultivating discernment for how and where we distribute this capacity. I also believe that the universe is full of allies. Fostering a beloved relationship with spirit, and other-than-humans creates channels for generosity and synchronicity. When we tap into this well of connectivity, we create channels that re-call our values. In this flow, all of our relationships are more likely to flourish.
I’ve been a professional consulting astrologer for 7+ years.
I’ve worked in non-profit, service, and high-level admin roles. I spent a formative two years developing my professional astrology business practice with collaborative input from Business for the People founding members. I’ve taken multiple courses in decoloniality and worked with various women’s rights groups. I’ve led years of live Moon ceremonies and taught online and in-person workshops weaving astrology and somatic movement practices. I gave a lecture on Astrology, Care Work & Disability Justice at the 2021 Fresh Voices conference. I am currently a resident astrologer with the Numinous Network where I teach informally about astrology and its intersections with attachment.
I am a Traditional Astrologer.
I use the Whole Sign house system and the tropical zodiac. I incorporate some Modern techniques into my practice. I also incorporate a ton of intuition, attachment theory and self-designed ritual. My primary living astrology teachers are Demetra George, Jason Holley, Chris Brennan, and Kelly Surtees. I am mostly book-taught. I also learn from quite a few of my living colleagues including Michael J. Morris, Diana Rose Harper, Maeg Keane, Jo O’Neil, Kirah Tabourn, Pallas Augustine, Drew Levanti, and Sabrina Monarch, among others. Most of the astrological techniques passed down through my lineages come directly from ancient translated texts by Valens, Teucer, Antiochus, Ptolemy, Porphyry, Hephaistio, Firmicus, Paulus and Rhetorius, among others.
I weave astrology with other tools to address the real lived experiences of clients, students and readers.
Primarily I focus on attachment theory, womanism, collapse, justice, queerness, relationality, land stewardship, death, culture and elderhood. My work is deeply influenced by my peers and colleagues as well as living healers, educators and activists such as Bayo Akomolafe, Gloria Anzaldúa, adrienne marie brown, Rachael Rice, Toi Smith, Carmen Spagnola, Jen Lemen, Joanna Macy, Donna Haraway and Layli Maparyan.
I live, work, love and tend relationships on the lands of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band and the stolen and unceded traditional lands of the Awaswas, Cotoni, Uypi, Sayanta and Aptos speaking Peoples
