Eros isn’t just an endpoint. It’s the current.
I use Traditional Astrology to help you get real (clear) about what brings you pleasure and teach you how that ties directly into your fate.
Hi, I’m Erin, also known as ET.
I’m a Traditional Astrologer, creative writer and ritual strategist living in Marseille, France.
I design emergent approaches to life that foster a culture of care and a politic of joy. I create and practice rituals to help myself and others live with more presence, integrity and pleasure amidst and in spite of contemporary collapse. I work with Traditional Astrology to help people be in better relationship to themselves, to others and to the time they have.
What if I told you that you don’t have to (and shouldn’t) wait to start living, orienting and organizing your way toward your vision for an erotic life?
I believe that eros is accessible all the time but there’s a series of keys that unlock it: integrity, willingness, knowledge, attention, surrender and authenticity.
Integrity is nearly impossible without authenticity. I believe we feel most loved by the world and others when we are being authentic, respectful and kind in our relationships. I believe that love is a product of listening deeply, opening to vulnerability and embracing needs fully. I don’t believe that being in loving relationship is easy all the time. I don’t believe that kindness is always called for. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. Love itself is infinite but our capacity to express it is not.
Love requires nurturance: the ability to provide emotional and physical care. Much of my work is about building capacity for nurturance, and cultivating discernment for how and where we distribute this capacity. I also believe that the universe is full of allies that want to help us love well. Some of these allies are planets and stars.
I’ve been a professional consulting astrologer for 9 years.
I’ve worked in non-profit, service, and C-Suite roles. I spent a formative two years developing my professional astrology business practice with collaborative input from Business for the People founding members. I’ve taken multiple courses in decoloniality and worked with various women’s rights groups. I’ve led years of live Moon ceremonies and taught online and in-person workshops weaving astrology, attachment, and somatic movement practices. Admittedly, most of what I know, I learned simply from being in relationship to people and paying attention.
I am a Contemporary Traditional Astrologer.
I use the Whole Sign house system and the tropical zodiac. I incorporate Modern planets into my practice while remaining primarily aligned to Traditional technique. My integral living astrology teachers are Austin Coppock, Demetra George, and Jason Holley. I am mostly book-taught. Most of the astrological techniques passed down through my lineages come directly from ancient translated texts written by Valens, Teucer, Antiochus, Ptolemy, Dorotheus, Porphyry, Hephaistio, Firmicus, Paulus, and Rhetorius, among others.
An inexhaustive list of living colleagues/friends who inspire me: Kira Ryberg, Diana Rose Harper, Maeg Keane, Jo O’Neil, Larry Arrington, Drew Levanti, Sabrina Monarch, Steph Koyfman.
My astrology work incorporates ongoing studies of whatever peaks my interest.
An incomplete list of topics that can be brought to consults with me: the politics of joy and pleasure, kink, queerness, polyamory, the lived experience of immigration, power dynamics, attachment theory, addiction, womanism, survivor’s guilt, collapse, justice, bougie or superficial desires, professional dreams (especially the wild and seemingly impossible ones), fate or destiny, life legacy.
At a baseline, most of my clients want to talk to me about love and/or work through the lens of astrology. I’m here for it.
GETTING CURRENT
This section is updated semi-frequently. It’s like a mini vibe-check designed to help you know where I'm at in case you're on the fence about whether right now is a good time to meet me for a consult. If you vibe with my currents, it's probably a yes. If not, maybe wait.Currently very about: my friends, savoring the moment, anarchy as as creative force, sweeping views, journaling in cafés, being decisive, the life arc of artists, leather jackets that aren’t black, olives, thinking critically but not too hard or too long, action as a form of prayer, result as a form of divine communication, graffiti, the beach.
Current Affirmation: If it feels cringe you’re probably doing something right.
Current Rituals: curating playlists as a soundtrack to manifestation, generosity ripples, planet-watching (like whale-watching or bird-watching but looking for a synchronous expression of a planet to pop up), styling with celestial spirits, making phone calls.
