TAROTSCOPES | MAR 25 - MAR 31
VI OF WANDS
Creating is a delicate act but it doesn’t have to be serious. Doesn’t require a hundred pound heaviness. Doesn’t need our solemn stance or deserve our frustrated force. When we create from genuine fire, we are accompanied by a certain kind of freedom. We can slip into a cycle of chaotic genius like fine paper fluttering in the wind. We feel wings with incredible strength but very little weight to carry. We embody the beauty born in the space where the surface is kissed by a deep dive.
Beauty asks us to permit ourselves the pleasure in the superficial but not to be insensitive - note there is a difference. Beauty is humble, simple and sweet, even if it ushers an onslaught of intensity. Beauty wants us to arrive at an empty page, ready to write, paint, fold, crumple up, toss, admire, not necessarily requiring we do it all or in that order, nor considering any list of ways to show up as exhaustive. Beauty is blossoming to possibility. Recognizing right action and response is revealed naturally by whatever feels good.
This week, as Venus enters the sign of her exaltation and Mercury stations direct, the Six of Wands calls to attention the kind of simple beauty that escapes when we rise with our internal sense of pride. When we affirm ourselves with the confidence of shoulders that open like doors to let free a fluttering heart. When we watch with gratitude at all the growth that came with whatever process from which we’re emerging. When we admire that which is delicate within us.
Imagine the sensation of wings on your back. The gentle rise and fall of their weightlessness. The natural unfurling of your magnificent design that derives from desires you learned to deny. Enjoy the power of the erotic with which you fly. Nourish yourself by taking pride in your personal crushes, whether they be for people, spaces, cultures or ideas (note: this is not an invitation to appropriate - it is an invitation to delight in your own admiration). Go for your private gold. Do the work you love even at its most difficult and know you’ll do it well because you love it. Propel yourself into your ideal until you’ve detached from it. Watch in wonder when it arrives or enjoy the freedom that comes from loving without necessity. From allowing your love as an assertion of your own life-force. From sharing your joy because you want to let it roam free, rather than needing it to be received. Revel in it.
WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
