SOLAR ECLIPSE IN AQUARIUS HOROSCOPES

On Tuesday, February 17th, the first eclipse of the season perfects at 28° Aquarius. Below is a technical overview.

This eclipse is co-present with Mars and square to Uranus. It is averse to both benefics and is ruled by a now fallen Saturn. It’s arguably the more difficult eclipse of the season.

If you accidentally hit a hard edge at just the right angle, it can slice skin, break bones, send a nerve ending into a stinging scattering. This eclipse is kind of like that.

This eclipse is a New Moon on the north node. Solar eclipses tend to have more *starting* than *ending* qualities but this one involves cutting away, sacrifice, and leaving behind in order to begin anew due to all of the malefic influence. On some level, you have to sacrifice your hopes and expectations for one dream to let another one in the door. Being on the north node, this eclipse has an insatiable effect. Do your best to recognize obsessive thinking and resist it when it comes up. Eclipses cause events to unfold that we generally can’t control - you’re not gonna cause or cure anything so live and let live as best you can.

Read the following for your rising, Sun, and Moon signs. I always defer to rising signs but for eclipses, reading for the luminaries sometimes feels more poignant. You can also read for the sign that houses your Ascendant ruler.

If you want to talk about eclipses and get some support for the things they’re effecting in your personal life, I’ve still got a few consultation slots for February. Either way, wishing you good fortune and safe passage through the eclipse strait!
