ACE OF PENTACLES

Monday starts off with Chiron’s ingress into Aries and a solidifying conjunction between Venus and Saturn. Chiron in Aries is about the wounds with which we over-identify and the injuries that come from impatience. It is an initiation to see where our self-hood is harmful but not deathly. It is an invitation to heal ourselves rather than asking others to do the work for us. It is an opportunity to be a trailblazer, a student and a teacher of the way we see at individual heights and the narratives that undergo great expansion when we open our eyes to other cultures. (To read more about it, be sure to scoop a copy of NFLUX mag Issue 02 when it becomes available at the end of this month and peep my article on Chiron’s eight year journey through Aries)

Venus and Saturn plant seeds that will take love and time before they bear ripe but very succulent fruit. Not always the best of friends, but certainly not enemies, both aim to stabilize; Venus through consciousness, balance, grace and values, and Saturn through boundaries, diligence, effort and patience. Together they indicate relationships that take time to form. Consider what relationships (to people, places or things) are new or newly evolving in your life right now. The Ace of Pentacles entices us with immense potentials for love. It shows us the star, or spirit, in this case the spirit of Venus, manifested over time and guided by both head and heart into physical reality. Venus/Saturn bonds do not necessarily contain fiery passion or a wild dance of recklessness but they do provide a concoction that can have us feeling safe and held if we’re willing to do necessary work in the name of love.

Later Monday evening, Mercury conjoins Neptune, singing more poetry into an already sweet-tinted day. Mercury and Neptune together are a flood of words. An inability to keep from sharing “just one more thing.” This aspect can have us overflowing in our emotional expressions in ways that might make others uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Neptune softens Mercury’s normally sharp blows and austere messages. Let this help you say something imperfectly. Let it offer you the opportunity to start roots that cover ample ground in difficult conversations. Let it be a reminder that big problems never have one single answer. Let it be an invitation to seek many possible directions for the dialogue to flow.

Tuesday opens with a Full Moon in Virgo, ruled by Mercury, pushing forward to a sextile to Saturn but preparing to backtrack through Pisces. The Moon’s release and Saturn’s strength will help begin to ground some of the agitated or active energy under which we’ve all been operating. As Venus separates from her conjunction to Saturn and begins to approach Pluto this Friday, we’re sure to witness individual and collective shifts in power. Notice your savior complexes. Pay attention to your inner victim and your active abuser, who lash out at you and others. Venus’ movements right now offer clear opportunities to shift us all to a more equal playing field.

The Ace of Pentacles, like all beginnings, is an invitation. An opening. A place to start as many times over as you need. A reminder that time is a limitless resource through which you can define supportive limits that help you create. Every part of your process has its time. To move forward in the evolution of your relationships, you might have to go back. A dear friend asked me this week what my child would look like if she could be anyone. If she could express herself in a way she was never allowed at the start. The Ace brings us back to the beginning. To the seed. To the source of all potential from which we emerged. The Ace of Pentacles also returns us to our physical reality. Grounds us with acceptance of what is. Forms the bond between the possible and the actual. Intention and impact. Takes us to exactly where we are in our cycle, fully embodied in our ability to grow. This week, be the bridge for yourself to change. Make an offering. Trust in your ability to answer your own questions with a little bit of work and a “however long” wait for the right moment. Begin to write a narrative you’d like to read.

WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
