XVIII THE MOON

The Moon brings out our wildest. Our wiliest. Our most unrestrained spirit. The Moon asks us to emphasize the primacy of our primal nature. Encourages an expansion of our inner experience. Wonders how far we might wander if we let ourselves lean into desire. What would you do if there was no voice that told you not to? How would you act if there weren’t any rules? What would you say if being “too much” weren’t possible? What would make you feel the most alive?

The Moon obliterates our egos. Cuts away conditions that keep us small. Reminds us that anything we try to control with our minds will ultimately control us. Obsession wreaks havoc when we don’t permit our true energy to express itself through action.

This week, as we walk towards the last Total Lunar Eclipse in Leo for the next eleven years, The Moon wants us to connect with our desire. To dance in the street. To howl at the stars. To demonstrate our glee when we feel the glamorous light of the Sun warm our skin. To send that text. To arrive in and for surprise. To permit ourselves to be windswept. To admire the unruly, tangled, mussed up in the magic of making. To show up to delirium as if it were exactly where we need to be in order to find a fortune of fierceness.

Ask for more love because there’s no such thing as too much. Give more love because there’s nothing wrong with offering warmth. Find a way to express your elemental emotions and still seek consent. See how sexy that unfolding can be when it’s evolved. Go with your gut despite all the irrational laws governed by thoughts; the protocol of your mind that misses messages because you let the mix get too messy rather than simply being you. Ultimately, The Moon wants us to act on desire rather than rest in the mania of “whether or not we should”. Consider that chaos isn’t necessarily negative. That excitement is native to your nature. That uncontrolled doesn’t have to mean uncultured - rather it is the opposite.

When we recognize the sacred divinity of every being, unruly means we rule ourselves with an intention of wholeness, conscious connectivity and a wealth of individuality. This week, redefine practical to align with primal instinct and let yourself fall madly in love with your untamed nature.

WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
