TAROTSCOPES | OCTOBER 1 - OCTOBER 7

MOTHER OF CUPS

This week, the Mother of Cups ushers us into Venus retrograde with a nod to our natural instincts. She encourages us to acknowledge our needs. To accept the guidance that shines from our guts. To get quiet before we get crazy. To be aware but not assuming. The Mother of Cups is about trusting ourselves enough to tread tricky emotional territory. To trust our feelings even when others don’t share them. To trust that we have enough power to hold space for two opinions. Even if one of those opinions isn’t ours. Even if it differs. Even if every inch of us doesn’t want to endure it.

The Mother of Cups offers the faith that we do not have to be eradicated because we weren’t on the same page. Bestows the understanding that rejection does not always have to be the result of a disagreement. Extends the appreciation that abandonment isn’t an outcome of owning our experience.

Admitting our ability to access our instincts will not leave us high, dry and alone. Rather, the Mother reminds us of the magic of mothering our own emotions. Of going where it’s warm simply because our inner urge inclined us there. This week, get close to your gut. Give your intuition a lot of love and a ton of listening. Allow yourself to feel enlivened by your own aptitude for awareness. Practice patience with every answer you want to know and every question you haven’t understood enough to ask. Affirm that when you’re ready, the words and actions will flow effortlessly through you because you did the work to discover them.

WHAT EVEN IS A TAROTSCOPE? We often think of horoscopes as predictions that are specific to each astrological sign. In Ancient Greek, the term horoscope simply means "I watch the hour." To astrologers today, a horoscope is a chart that maps the planetary bodies in the sky. From this chart, we derive meaning that can influence how we work with energy. Regardless of our unique individual charts, we are ALL working with the same energy from above. Each week, I examine this energy, pull a tarot card and write a guided meditation with the collective in mind. My tarotscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. Please note that because we are all operating with our individual energy, some elements will resonate more than others. Take what you like and leave the rest. Tarotscopes are offered freely in an effort to cultivate collective healing. I am always grateful for your support in sharing this work with anyone you think it might help. If you are inspired or find support here, please consider making a donation to help sustain these weekly offerings.
