A New Moon perfects at 5°Libra20’ at 9:26am PDT on September 28th. In a world where we are repeatedly fed the paradox of “keep the focus on yourself” and “be considerate of views and experiences other than your own”, it can be difficult to strike balance on a double-edged sword. Libra, sign of consciousness and duality, bridges the gap between living and dying well. Teaches us how to find oneness in recognition. Self in otherhood. How to give the gift of reception. How to dance with the laws of the natural world. In this ceremony we will:
Talk about the cycles of the moon and the type of seeds we can plant when it's new
Locate the part in each of our charts that contains the sign of Libra
Learn practices for individual mind, body and spirit check-ins in circle
Hold space, ground in with meditation, write and share personal experiences with others
Learn about the part in each of our charts that desires the grace of our consciousness, contains our aesthetic sensibilities and recognizes our skills for integrating contradictions
Begin designing personal New Moon manifestos to help you navigate this lunar cycle
Eat snacks and drink tea symbolic of the season and offer self care practices you can take home to try out.
This ceremony is for you if you identify with any of the following:
you are curious or enthusiastic about astrology and/or you are an avid learner
you are looking for esoteric magical community that isn’t woowoo
you want to start or refine your lunar practice and need some tips or tools
you want to be cared for but not coddled
you want to be involved in experiencing and defining best practices for gathering
you feel nourished by knowledge and want to more deeply understand astrological archetypes
you want to learn about yourself through the map of your chart
*Please come prepared with your exact time, date and location of birth, something to write with and on, and a device that has a web browser (your phone is A-ok!).
**This event is freely offered to the community. It is also a potluck that encourages (but doesn’t require) service-oriented participation. This practice affirms the value of many ways to help cultivate communal gathering spaces. If you have the resources of energy and nourishment to spare, please bring a snack to share with the group or arrive 20min early to help set up!
If you would like to attend, please fill out the RSVP form below. The location and additional details will be e-mailed to participants within 2 days of the event.
