A New Moon perfects at 8°Leo37’ at 8:12pm PDT on July 31st. Freeing us from eclipse season less than an hour before Mercury stations direct, this New Moon grants us the opportunity to plant some much needed seeds of relief after a particularly volatile July. In this ceremony we will:
Talk about the cycles of the moon and the type of seeds we can plant when it's new
Locate the part in each of our charts that contains the sign of Leo
Learn practices for individual mind, body and spirit check-ins in circle
Unpack this Mercury retrograde, examine how the direct station might affect you personally, how this New Moon can help us integrate its lessons
Hold space, ground in with meditation, write and share personal experiences with other cis and trans womxn and/or non-binary individuals
Learn about the part in each of our charts that needs to shine
Begin designing personal New Moon manifestos to help you navigate this lunar cycle
Eat snacks and drink tea symbolic of the season and offer self care practices you can take home to try out.
This ceremony is for you if you identify with any of the following:
you are curious or enthusiastic about astrology and/or you are an avid learner
you are looking for esoteric magical community that isn’t woowoo
you want to start or refine your lunar practice and need some tips or tools
you want to be cared for but not coddled
you want to be involved in experiencing and defining best practices for gathering
you feel nourished by knowledge and want to more deeply understand astrological archetypes
you want to learn about yourself through the map of your chart
*Please come prepared with your exact time, date and location of birth, something to write with and on, and a device that has a web browser (your phone is A-ok!).
**This event is freely offered to the community. It is also a potluck that encourages (but doesn’t require) service-oriented participation. This practice affirms the value of many ways to help cultivate communal gathering spaces. If you have the resources of energy and nourishment to spare, please bring a snack to share with the group or arrive 20min early to help set up!
